Eager Beavers Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 This is my first year playing fantasy football; I am in a 12-team, standard scoring league. The league allows you to flex the WR/RB position I currently have Peyton Manning as my starting QB and Eli Manning on my bench. There are three teams in my league that could use a quarterback and I am looking to initiate a trade for Eli to try and pick up a top tier RB or WR. My current starting RB's for week 5 are Deangelo Williams and Beanie Wells (flex) and I have Marshawn Lynch and Green-Ellis on my bench. My current starting WR's for week 5 are Hakeem Nicks a Terrell Owens and I have Steve Smith (NYG) and Louis Murphy on my bench. I am thinking this is a good week to get value for Eli because there are three desperate teams that are all 1-3 and though Eli has not been a great option to date he is playing Houston this week and should become more reliable throughout the season. My options for players I could pick up from these teams: Team 1 Joseph Addai (RB) Chad Ochocinco (WR) Donald Driver (WR) Team 2 Michael Turner (RB) Reggie Wayne (WR) Rody White (WR) Team 3 Adrian Peterson (RB) Steven Jackson (RB) Austin Miles (WR) I am trying to determine if I need a WR or RB and if so who is a realistic target(s) to trade for Eli. If the league penalizes for interception I say no to all of them unless I am completely desperate for a QB. Who are their QB's currently and what is your scoring system? The Ball Basher Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Team 2 is the only legit target...and that is until Vick comes back. Unfortunately none of those players can be had with just Eli...especially when there is negative points for interceptions.
