New Orleans Homers,

So with PT ruled officially OUT for this Sundays game vs. ARI, who did Payton name as the starter then for NO? Does Betts get the start because he can block, catches the ball out of the backfield and doesn't fumble like Ivory does? I know they'll probably split touches but just wondering who the better play is. Was high on Ivory but now am re-thinking since am in PPR league and Betts may get a bunch of check downs from Brees...

Who is the better play in the Saints backfield?

Betts

or

Ivory

my choice was made easier in my 14 team PPR, as Ivory was snagged via WW early by another team. I don't feel I am missing out terribly, as I can see Betts doing just what you said: getting check downs. Sure Ivory might see more 3rd downs and GL opportunities, but Betts has been getting more 1st team practice reps it sounds like (Ivory was dinged a little last week). From the Carolina game, Betts had 13 carries, and Ivory had 12. Betts had 4 receptions, Ivory had 0. Higher potential for check downs vs Cards? I don't know. but the split seems pretty even, the only disparity would be if Ivory gets a TD (which he has yet to do this season). Sorry if this is all info you know already!
