No, I don't think it's a great trade, but that's just my opinion. Obviously the team that traded Rice needs WR help, and although he got kind of hosed, he must think Ward and Moss will help improve his team. Hell, if he has good RB depth, it could... But that's beside the point. It should not matter at all what you and I think about the trade. It is not up to the rest of the league to decide on something as arbitrary as "fair". As long as both owners feel that they're getting a fair deal, then it's a legit fair trade. So should the NFL have vetoed Jerry Jones' trading his first rounder for bust Roy Williams? No, because he felt it improved his team at the time. Is this trade still "diaper dirt" if Ward and Moss put up huge numbers for the rest of the season, and Rice blows out his knee? I can see where the wording could have improved. I was offered Hines Ward and Santana Moss for Ray Rice. And I would like advisment on the trade. I think it is a bad trade for MY team, although I do have some RB depth (Rice, McCoy, Shonn Greene, M. Bush, Lynch, Torain) and I severely need WR strength.
