Whether it improves his team is one of the last things you consider when making a trade... So what if it weakens his team if it weakens yours too? Do you have another QB that is good enough to where you won't lose more points by trading away Vick than you gain by landing White? that is the question you should be asking, and not one I can even really help you answer without knowing your roster, lineup requirements, scoring, etc. (ETA: Oh, Vick isn't listed on your roster, but I'm assuming it's the one in your sig. Although you do have an even better QB in Manning, you really don't need the WR help that much... But if you can land a decent backup on the wire, or Stafford's injury doesn't turn out serious, then it seems like a deal worth taking, if he's doing it for Ajirotutu and Vick.)
