An acquaintance of mine has a 17 year-old daughter and, unfortunately, she is below average mentally. She is a very nice girl and her parents have always been involved, caring parents; but for whatever reason, the girl just doesn't have the mental capabilities of most of her peers. So, my question is: what happens to this girl when she becomes an adult? I honestly can't see anything that she could do that could earn her more than minimum wage (if she is even would be worth paying minimum wage to). What happens to her? Civil Servant or working behind the desk at a hospital/doctor's office. The fact that she's nice and tries would put her well ahead of the crowd already, and the IQ demands are not exactly high.
