Racking up Points I swear I saw this exact story at least a year or two ago. in any case, the banks and CC companies ARE the ones gaining the most from this loophole. I assume the mint still pays them their credit card commission? they give a fraction of that back to the consumer in the form of "points" or whatever, and keep the rest.
