charty
The new tradition is the Super Bowl winner hosts the NFL Opening game on Thursday night. If Indy wins, my money would be on the Pats coming to Indy on opening night. If the Bears win, I'd say New Orleans will be back. Either way, it would be a rematch of the (AFC or NFC) Championship Game. Home opponents..... Indy Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Denver, Kansas City, New England, New Orleans, Tampa Bay Bears Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Dallas, N.Y. Giants, New Orleans, Denver, Kansas City
Kansas State 2000
Or if Indy wins maybe we'd see how the SB would have been if they played New Orleans.
Fatman
Not necessarily. Pittsburgh hosted Miami in the opener and hosted Denver in the middle of the season.
charty
Not necessarily. Pittsburgh hosted Miami in the opener and hosted Denver in the middle of the season. For some reason, the NFL thought that a hobbled Daunte Culpepper was a more intriguing matchup than Denver. Not to mention, as I recall Denver requested not to be scheduled for that game. The Pats have hosted the Colts on opening night, having the banner raised, etc. It's not something the Pats organization will request exclusion from because "it's putting us in an unwinable situation".
