John Abraham over T. Suggs, thomas Jones, Portis, Boldin or Steve Smith?

With Garcia inactive today and Griese getting the start, is Abraham worth a start OVER any of the follow guys (both DEF and OFF guys):

 

T. Suggs home against the Steelers (Scoring is: 2/ tackle; 6/ sack; 6/ pass def; 6/ INT; 4/ TD; this scoring would apply to Abraham as well)

TJones (Scoring is 1/ 20 yds rushing or receiving; 6/ TD; 1/ 5 carries; 0/ Reception)

C Portis (Scoring is the same as T Jones)

A Boldin (Scoring for WR is: 1/ 2 receptions; 1/ 15 yds; 6/ TD)

S Smith (Scoring is the same as Boldin)

since every sack is like a TD I think your best chance for a multi "TD" day lies with Suggs....I could see him posting 5 tackles with 2 sacks today and maybe a FF too....but truth be told I think they are all worth of starting with the exception of abraham...he, imo, presents the most risk

I appreciate the quick response... for what its worth I can start 2 IDP's, but would have to sit 1 of the RB or WR's. Part of me believes Abraham could have a good game because:

1) he had 14 against the Bucs in Tampa earlier this year (1 tackle; 1 FF; 1 sack)

2) Garcia is sitting and Griese is starting

3) Apparently the Falcons staff is saying they are going to get after the QB more than normal this week (according the ESPN)

4) he is due (not the best reason, but like the economy he appears to be rather cyclical)

Abrahams production has been down over the last five weeks. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't start him over any of the players you've mentioned, even with the exagerated defensive scoring your league uses.

Thank you gents... and you are definitely right on with the exagerated DEF scoring... 1st year with IDP's so there will be a number of tweaks in the offseason.

i stand by what i said...and fwiw I bet that all of abrahams scoring in that previous matchup happened on ONE play...i will check it later but I am on my way out right now

yea... that one hurts. I should have gone with my gut instead of overthinking it. All the advice on here was certainly valid points/ information, but in this case i should listened to my gut. Hopefully Steve Smith, who I was planning on sitting in place of Abraham will blow up... but he will need more than 24 pts... ouch
