BA Baracus
Don't really see much discussion of daily games on here. Any of you guys going to be doing much daily this season? For those who are, what sort of exploitable player values are you seeing? So far, I am looking at: 1. All these new starting kickers are cheap. 2. Fred Jackson is a bargain. 3. Shaun Hill needs to be in some lineups.
Knarl
I'm giving daily a try for the first time this year. All those radio ads finally got to me. On Fanduel for week one, Frank Gore against the Cowboys looks like a great value. Shayne Graham is a great value for a kicker. With Welker out, Sanders is a good value. From what I can tell, the strategy appears to be to pay for a couple of studs whom you think will go off, and build a team around them with whatever sleepers/matchups/values you can. What I wonder is how much separates a first place finish with a finish of, say, 10,000? I'd assume people who are playing this type of game have at least a fair working knowledge of FF, so it can't be a walk in the park to win money every week, can it? I've been playing fanduel for the past couple of seasons (started when we got the 'free' money for going against huddle staff). I usually do one or two H2H and then a 50/50. Then I may swing for the fence in a game where only a top percentage gets paid. Both seasons, I ahead a fair amount, but as the season wore on, my bankroll would dwindle. Generally, I about break even by the time the year is done. You will see some people out there with DOZENS of matchups waiting. I try to avoid them, as they must do it for a living. I probably won't get too much into it until Week 3 or later, as Week 1 I'm focused on my new teams, and week 2 is the traditional trip to vegas for golf and sportsbook. Good luck this year. I'm also CowboysDiehard on fanduel, hit me up if you're looking for a match.
BA Baracus
The most profitable contests are the 50/50's. The large tournament guaranteed prize pool (GPP) contests are what will eat up bankroll.
ChampSampson
Fanduel is fun but the rake is too high to make it sustainable. I laugh at the regs who sit aorund the pier, the can't optimize outside the variance. When they say "Billy won $665,000"...he also spent back $625,000 on losses and rake and shear volume alone.
