Kansas State 2000
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska center Richie Incognito was suspended indefinitely Wednesday for repeated violations of team policy. Coach Bill Callahan announced the suspension after practice. "I'm really disappointed because he's a really good player," Callahan said. "But no one is bigger than the team." Callahan would not discuss the details of Incognito's violations. Incognito has had several run-ins with the law, and last month he was fined $500 after being convicted of misdemeanor assault. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound junior was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last year. A left tackle his first two years with Nebraska, Incognito moved to center last spring. Kurt Mann, sophomore, will start at center in Saturday's opener against Western Illinois.
Akfatha
a loss as far as our BEST O lineman absolutely, but not a loss in the locker room, nor a loss as far as unwanted penalties are concerned. but yeah, our line will miss richie when we need blocking. its a battle to see whether we're better off w/o him due to him being a liability, or that we really need him that bad cause he's all american calibur. Kansas State 2000
I've heard he got into fights with teammates in the locker room, any truth to that?
Akfatha
I've heard he got into fights with teammates in the locker room, any truth to that? 383375[/snapback] from what i hear he's gotten into a lot of scuffles. on the practice field he got into it with one of his closer friends on the team, grant mulkey, then offered his hand in apology and instead sucker punched the guy. a couple weeks back he got into it w/ starting D end adam carriker, but carriker told back down and told richie to bring it and that was the end of that scuffle. not to mention he hurt us A LOT in games with personal fouls, the guy just could not keep his cool. he had to go to anger management classes last year, they helped for a couple games but eventually he became his old self again. great player when he keeps his cool though. Phat1
KSU - I thought I heard that your team had a couple of lineman suspended, too. Know anything about it?
