  1. Well, I picked first and ended up keeping Newton, Chris Johnson, R. Bush, and Miles Austin. Then with my first pick I took Steve Smith ( carolina )The league voted to disallow the 2nd qb starting in the flex position so that made dropping Freeman easy. I had to wait 18 picks to pick again and decided to gamble and took Kendall Wright and Justin Blackmon. I figured "let the best rookie win my 3rd WR spot and who knows...maybe one will turn into a Julio Jones". The rest of my draft went like this: A. Hernandez, Kevin Smith, R. Moss, A. Luck, M. Floyd, V. Ballard ( yeah, serious stretch ), M. Ingram, D. Baldwin, Donald Driver ( goof pic as the last pic of the draft ). After the draft the commish grades us all ( we've been doing it since back when we had to use the Dallas Morning News to get the stats . He gave me a D+ because of "too little depth, too big of a risk with all the rookies, and 2 draft mistakes - I called out 2 names that people had already drafted...LOL...Hey, we do our draft at a casino and there is LOTS of drinking going on.
  2. Unfortunately we don't know until draft day who everyone is keeping. We have 10 people in the league and last year's first place player ( the person that is picking last this year ) reveals their 4 keepers, then last year's 2nd place reveals their 4 keepers, etc. all the way down to me. I'll reveal my 4 keepers plus make my first pick so I "could" keep 5 players but I'm just thinking that there will be a better WR available that isn't kept. I'm pretty much thinking that most will keep at least a QB and a RB so that leaves 2 wild card keepers. If 1/2 the group kept 2 WRs that means that 14 WRs would be kept. But, thinking also that people might keep 2 QBs, 1 RB, 1 WR it is possible that only the top 8 - 10 WRs would be kept. All week I've been trying to move Gore and/or Freeman for a top WR but with no luck. My thought was maybe I could trade for a top WR using Gore and/or Freeman ( 2 that I might not keep ) and then just fill in with my pick.
  3. I guess we don't have to keep 4 but we don't really get a benefit or penalty to keeping less and since I was last I'll be picking first so I could keep 5 tho I'm not sure I have 5 solid as is.
  4. I can carry over 4 players from last season. I just clipped my whole team below but I need to pick 4. We play 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex ( QB/RB/WR ) so it usually goes down as 2 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB. Cam Newton Josh Freeman Reggie Bush Chris Johnson Frank Gore Nate Washington DeAngelo Williams Blaine Gabbert Vernon Davis Anquan Boldin Early Doucet Miles Austin Johnny Knox Legedu Naanee Btw, I got dead last with this roster and I'm super weak at WR. Thanks in advance.
  5. Lewis, Grant, Welker, Gonzales, Driver ( have a feeling the duo is looking to pad the stats )
  6. The guy poised to win our league just picked up Warner. If nothing else he as been the luckiest S.O.B. all year so maybe you can jump in on his luck.
  7. Yeah, I am going to have to agree.....gotta go with Favre here.
  8. Moss - Wayne - Edwards I like to start anyone that plays the Cardinals.
  9. I have the same problem. But, I am leaning more toward Bush right now. PPR is the main reason I like Bush here. I dunno....maybe I'll start MO.
  10. Bush (shin) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers. S. Smith will have Carr throwing to him ( YUK ) Young (right knee strain), who didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, worked on a limited basis Friday, the Denver Post reports. Coach Mike Shanahan said that Young will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bears.
  11. Hello - Trying to confirm if R. Bush ( game time decision? ) and S. Smith are going to get playing time today. And S Young.
  12. I'm down by three and he has Josh Brown (K). I read that Seattle is tough against the run and with the 49ers 21st ranked defense I think I will roll the dice with Morris. Just can't risk the re-injury to the ankle with Gore.
  13. Yeah, we are in a PPR league and to be honest I just don't know that much about Morris. I just picked him up this week because I was afraid Gore would be hurt.
  14. I'm down by 3 going into tonight's game. He has a kicker and I have Gore or Morris. Yahoo Sports has this to say: Morris has been running with more urgency than Alexander anyway, so this may actually be good news for Seattle. Morris is a better receiver than Alexander as well, so look for Seattle to employ multiple ways of getting him touches against the league's 21st-ranked defense. Gore apparently has made dramatic improvement with his sprained ankle, running fast and changing directions without a sign of pain at practice Saturday. "Frank looked great," Singletary said. "He made some great cuts and it was good to see him out here." At this point, the signs point to Gore being out there Monday. I already made a poor decision this week and started Patten over Stokley and I benched S. Young over one of these 2 guys so I can't really afford to make another mistake. What do you think?
