  1. That's a good read. The thump on the back of the head is the same thing I do to my son. It's just enough for him to know he's done wrong. After that, I take stuff away or put his little rear in the corner
  2. Four year olds know right from wrong. My son could read and do math at 4. I don't agree with the switch but I understand why he did it. when I was younger, the switch was a common way to punish your child. I live in Texas and while I have never been switched by anyone, I have been spanked by belt , paddled in school and spanked with wooden spoon in school. I have also had my hand slapped with rulers. I'm 30 years old and while these methods of punishment are illegal today, they were fine 20 years ago and they did work to keep me out of trouble. We all view things differently. You may have voted for Obama but not me..As stated, we all view things differently and I believe Peterson had the right intentions in mind. He will pay for his mistakes and I hope he learns from it and I'm sure he will.
  3. I currently have an 8 year old son and I do not spank him but as a father, I understand where Peterson is coming from. I don't spank my son because once when he was 5, I spanked him hard enough that I left a red Mark on his rear and I saw the fear in my sons eyes. I felt horrible for spanking him but at the time, I felt my child deserved the whooping. Today, my son is awesome and a super sweet kid. I will never spank him again as I have made that mistake. Live and learn. Peterson admits he whooped him to much and seems to regret it. Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and hopefully his child learned that hurting other children is wrong and if he does it again, there will be consequences
  4. Peterson switched his kid for injuring another child if I'm not mistaken. Peterson may have taken it a little far but he was right in punishing his kid. There's lots of parents out there that don't care enough to punish their kids and you end up with the chitty kids/thugs that seem so common today. Like I said, Peterson may have gone a little overboard but at least it was for the right reason. Peterson is not a thug and doesn't want his kids to b thugs either. Peterson has worked hard to get where he is and while he did make a mistake, he's human. Years ago, it was fine to whoop your kid but today you get in trouble for it...Maybe that's why we have so many chit heads running around.
  5. Are you serious? Snelling or Powell over spiller? Tate over bowe? You traded bowe for snelling? Wish I had guys like u in my league! Snelling is a backup and plays in rbbc situation when Jackson is out. WoW.
  6. The worst thing about axle elf is the pics he posts in his Profile pic/Sig. Horrible.. I wish there was a way to blur out the photos. Nothing worse than opening the topic to see the bright red cowboy hat.
  7. Aa stated above. Do not make the trade. Keep Calvin.
  8. Which Indy receiver to own? Gonzales has hurt his ankle again and is out next week. Even when he returns, will he take over for Blair or will Blair White keep the job?
  9. As Muck stated, you want people on your team that will help you win now. Rice is good but will take up roster space for most of the season. Even when he comes back, will he be 100%? I would drop Rice and pick up Clayton out of the names you have listed. Making a gamble early in the season can pay off and if you plan on going to the playoffs, you need to win as many games as possible. Rice is a guaranteed 0 for the next few weeks... Good luck
  10. Witten is the man. Who else do the boys have? Miles? Williams? In PPR, def. witten.
  11. wells? Since when is wells the starter? Hightower will get the touches and even if wells get them, he will fumble or get hurt. Ced Benson is the man and the bengals seem to have a good blocking scheme. Benson vs pit all day and Olson for sure.
  12. Desean Jackson. Nate Burleson, then Ginn. Ginn has done nothing until last game. If you go back and look at the play by play from the seattle game, you will see that Wallace looked at Burleson often. Burleson had a bad game but should return to form. If Ginn plays well again today, I would then consider him but as of now, he should ride the pine. Davone bess is usually the possession guy for miami and until I see a few games with ginn getting the majority, I would stay away.
  13. Time for people to get off the RIce HYPE! He is a good back but shares the field with two other backs. Mcgahee has been scoring the TD's and while Rice does get his touches, he is not "the man". S.Jax is on a sorry team but he is "the man". You cant bench S.Jax until he gets injured or has a streak of horrible games. The only way you start rice every game is if Mcgahee is out of the picture and even then Mclain might take the TD's.
  14. By the way, who is going to do all this scoring for the Giants? I guess tynes will kick 6 field goals? Last game vs NYG both teams had a combined 28 points. Not high scoring at all and before that the boys got whooped. This is not the same NYG team from a year ago and the first time the giants faced the boys last year, bollinger was the qb, not romo. Over under is 44. I would take the under but then again, you could be right. This will be a good game and I cant wait until this evening to see the slug fest.
  15. Romo plays fairly well against the Giants but with T.O being gone, I have a feeling Romo will be spreading the ball. He no longer has to force it. Witten is the man in dallas. I am not saying Williams will not have a big game but Williams has not showed us much as of yet here in dallas. Williams did have a nice long one last week but outside the long TD reception, there was not much. I too feel Nate Burleson will do well. Hass likes throwing to burleson and seems to trust the guy. Not sure which WR I would start but I too like Burleson. If he stays healthy, he could have a good year. I am not a hawks fan but after watching last weeks game, it is obvious Hass likes Burleson and carlson.
