Yes, it is hard to figure out. What's with everyone who's taking the high road and not condoning physical punishment being so condescending?
You're against it, that's obvious. If you've never been hit with a switch then you're completely oblivious to how easy it is to leave a welt. It's almost impossible not to. The kid put his hands and arms in the way which is why he had marks there. It's not like he just went ape-honda and starting swinging at everything.
My parents did the same to me. I don't really see an issue with it. I don't really think anyone should tell him how to parent, considering he's not abusing the child. Pansies.
Brees was the 3rd QB off the board. I think the drop off from Brees to the next tier is pretty big so I went in that direction. David Wilson was the only RB I even took a look at in the 2nd round(drafting from #2 in a 12 team league).
QB: Brees, Bradford
RB: Charles, Ball, Bernard, Knile Davis
WR: Fitzgerald, Welker, James Jones, Cecil Shorts, Reuben Randle
TE: Cook, Cameron
D: SF
What move could I make to get an RB, which is where I'm obviously not as good as I'd like to be?
i'll be rolling out this team:
QB Philip Rivers
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Roddy White
WR Michael Crabtree(or might play the WW for something better)
RB Ryan Mathews
RB Michael Bush
TE Jimmy Graham
K Dan Bailey
DEF Seattle Seahawks
opponent will be rolling out:
QB Cam Newton
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Steve Smith(car, obviously)
WR Antonio Brown
RB Adrian Peterson
RB MJD(or reggie bush, not sure)
TE Vernon Davis
K Mason Crosby
DEF NYJ or SF
gonna be tough, i'm facing him in both of my money leagues in the title game...and we did the same last year. lets hope the outcome is better this time. standard PPR scoring with bonus for 40+ yard plays and 40+ yard td's
that's your call. as far as assessing his potential as a starting rb i'd add that he looked alright in pass protection yesterday and has very good hands...if he learns to run between the tackles a bit better i think he could be very good with how fast he is on the outside.
