  3. okay flemingd, I see now it was a reply. stevegrab, I hear ya. I can see where a frequent forum contributor might get tired of this kind of question. I guess it was just top-of-mind for me because what happened to me. Bell has not moved up or down in several weeks. The last few "weekly projections" just weren't jibing with the high ROS. If I have a criticism remaining, it would be to make the ROS a little more dynamic week-to-week. For example, if there are 8 games left, the 1st four are bad matchups, and the last 4 are great matchups, the ROS should be at its lowest week 8 and subsequently rise slowly each week as less bad matchups are in the remaining schedule. Instead, Bell has been the same for several weeks. Overall, I am a happy Huddle subscriber. Just something I've noticed over the years....that the ROS is maybe a little too rigid and unchanging week to week.
  4. No need to pile on folks. I got a suitable answer when the ADMIN suggested some of the rationale being schedule-related: "their matchup this week sucks @NE. But then it becomes CHI, TB, MIN, @CHI." So, I at least can see why they rank him #14 ROS. I'm not an idiot, I know that weekly projections and ROS are reporting two different things and are used for different purposes. For instance, I use ROS everytime I propose or evaluate a trade offer or waiver exchange. I use the Weekly projections to set my lineups. I love both tools and use them heavily. This question was very specific to the Joique Bell case. I picked him up 3-4 weeks ago in a trade based at least in part on the strong ROS ranking he had even then (before the Bush injury). EVERY week since, the weekly projection has given very low expectations consistently for several weeks in a row. If the admin is correct, previewing the schedule moving forward after NE, these weekly projections are likely to move way up based on matchup. flemingd: "I try hard not to pick on you, but who the hell do you think you are speaking financials on behalf of the Huddle Staff?" That's kinda harsh?!? The only thing I said about financials is that, a site collecting money needs to be careful to at least strive for consistency among the varied resources offered. I have been a member since circa 1998, so my observations have 16 years behind them. Thanks to everyone and particularly the ADMIN who took the time to provide the likely thought process behind the high ROS for Bell.
  5. I agree there is a big difference particularly using just a 1 week snapshot, but for the last 2 weeks at least Bell has been given low weekly projections. Plus, even with that schedule upcoming, #14?!?
  6. For some reason, I had it in my head Tate got picked up by the Colts! Sorry dudes. Thanks for setting me straight. This is one of those thoughts that the more I thought about it, the more obvious it is to keep Sims. DUH!
  7. I have to admit Sanders has better stats on the year than I realized.
  8. Yet each week, the "Weekly Predictions" rate him way down the list. I just don't get some of the glaring inconsistencies that exist on a fantasy site that costs money. These guys need to assign someone to a "Quality Assurance" role that identifies these gaffes and makes the site more uniformly consistent. Sorry, just an opinion.
  9. P.S. You need to hit waivers for a Bradshaw replacement.
  10. Unrealistic to think the other dude is going to give up Evans. I'm not as sure as these guys that Sanders is a keeper. 1) Although he's a Bronco, Sanders is a WR3 on his team and of course we all know you can't count on targets for anyone but The Thomases from Manning. 2) Mathews is solidly entrenched at WR2 for the Eagles. I imagine Mathews will receive more targets than Sanders here on out. More tsrgets means more consistency. Sanders has no upside. Mathews may (or may not) hit 100+ yards/game going forward. Mathews is the lesser known factor but the upside potential dwarfs the best you will ever get from Sanders 3) You are in 1st. Its about the playoffs for you right now. Being seeded #1 going into the playoffs is not the goal (who cares if someone passes you in the next 2 weeks, you are in the playoffs guaranteed at this point). By the time you are in the playoffs, you will know if Mathews was a boom or bust move. If he has a couple great games in the next 2 weeks, you'll have a solid WR2, Sanders will never be more than a WR3. 3) Add the uncertainty of the concussion situation All of that adds up to taking the risk and pulling the trigger. It may backfire but you just might hit a homerun.
  11. Just lost Ahmad Bradshaw and I am weak at RB so my bench matters because I have to play matchups more than if I had some studs. I've got Joique Bell, Denard Robinson, CJ Anderson, Jerick McKinnon, Ryan Mathews, and Charles Sims. I know this question requires some speculation and none of us have a crystal ball but Tate may get a load on a team that scores a lot. Trent Richardson has always somehow sucked in the redzone (and everywhere else on the field.) I'm thinking drop Sims but if you see another back you'd drop instead for Tate, let me know that as well. Or, lastly, maybe I just stand pat?
  12. Hawkins in PPR format over Sanu. I don't like Rainey this week. Last week, Sims got the bulk of the load until he fumbled. After that, Rainey took over. That was likely punishment to the rookie to remind him he has to hold onto the ball. This week, they'll give him the load early again and only if he makes a mistake will he get pulled. More likely, he pops off 5-7 yds/carry and Rainey disappoints his owners.
  13. I'm really torn. 2RB, 3WR League. Not PPR. Here's my team: My RB's: McCoy Bradshaw Mason D. Robinson Oliver Matthews My WR's: Jeffrey Floyd Wallace Hopkins Hawkins A. Robinson
  14. I see your lineup now. Definitely make the trade. However, I would counter and try to keep Cooks. See if you can dump one of those other backs. Don't offer up Hill. But you can stand to lose Bell and a lot of those other dudes.
