I Like Soup
So I've used Total Video Converter in the past and burned a DVD and converted it to PSP format for a trip. But, I'm running in to DVDs that I can't do that. Anyone know of a program I can download and use for this purpose? I have DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, but I was wondering if there is a program I can use instead of doing a couple of steps. Yes, tonormanondog, I have a PC, not a Mac! Thanks! kpholmes
Handbrake is absolutely the best to use. My roommate and I have backed up our entire DVD collection to our hard drives, in addition to putting them in different sizes for iPods and such. And lucky for you, it has a PSP preset. On a Windows machine you do need a DVD decrypter running as well. I know of a good free one. Download DVD43, install it and fire it up. It will run in your taskbar, and give you a smiley face when it is done decrypting your inserted DVD. Then download and install Handbrake, and run it. Select your DVD as the source. Click the "PSP" preset. Make sure the "2-Pass Encoding" Box is deselected, it's unnecessary and doubles time per DVD. Click "Start" and you're all set. Let me know if you have any other questions.
