kpholmes
"Those kids were just completely out of control. Louisville wasn't as bad. Virginia Tech was brutal." Glad the refs agreed. They regretted missing Vick's lameness.
Steeltown Dre
Vick's foot stomp aside, those refs called a brutal game, especially in the 1st quarter. The Hokies rarely have late hits, and the refs called multiple "phantom" calls where the Tech player hit the QB just after he released the ball, yet was called for a personal foul, and later, unsportsmanlike conduct. Watch the game again, it was pretty obvious to me the refs were making some extremely questionable calls against VT. There's no way to defend the foot stomp, but I will say from my view of the 1st quarter, the refs made some one-sided 15-yard penalties against VT that should not have been called. This includes the "running into the ref" ejection of Jimmy Williams - from the replays I saw, they just crossed paths as Williams ran back to the bench. There is no need to toss a guy, from what I could see on the replays. Pretty shady.
