bigredhoo
Keepers were just named (I'm keeping LJ and S. Jackson). This is a ten-team 2-keeper (mandatory) league, traditional scoring (no PPR). TE required. I draft 8th overall (serpentine draft). Based on the the keeper list, I will likely have a Tier I WR fall to me (either T.O, Harrison, R. Wayne or R. Williams). I will happily grab one of them in the first round. My question concerns my second-round pick: Assuming logical drafting by my fellow owners, I will likely have available: - Antonio Gates; - Brees, Kitna or Bulger; and - several Tier II WRs (Evans, Johnson, Driver, etc.). With L.J. and S. Jackson, I really want to swing for the fences this year and get some real difference makers. That is one of the reasons I'm leaning towards Gates with my third pick. That being said, I've had weak QBs in the past, and I wouldn't mind getting a Kitna/Bulger-type; however, I'm not sure that they will still be there at the end of the 3rd round. Of course, the "safest" route would likely be taking Evans or Johnson and shoring up my #2 WR. Any thoughts from the Huddler community? Thanks. SF409ers
If you do get a top 3 WR in the 1st round the I actually like the Gates pick here, followed by either WR#2 or QB depending on what is left. Gates gives you a huge advantage and with the RB's you have it makes it worth taking a risk on getting a QB or #2 WR later on.
