devilwoman
...is it a buffering problem when on your PC you are watching a video like on YouTube and it stalls...or is that a server problem with my provider? I have cable DSL. It is pissing me off big time. Thanks.
theeohiostate
sounds like DSL problem. Intermittent Connectivity . Open a command prompt and type in ping yahoo.com -t wait about 20 minutes and hit CTRL C , check if you've lost any packets on this ping test. Could be related to your DSL, modem or ethernet controller , make sure you go to your pc manufacturer site and download the latest drivers for your controller , then call your DSL and ask them to ping your modem to check for any problems , you'll need to ask for tech support. To eliminate the possiblity of a cpu or harddrive bottleneck, in the run prompt, type in msconfig , go to start up options and uncheck all programs aside of your AV Protection and reboot. Report back if that doesn't resolve anything.
