Outlook 2007 help

OK, just configured Outlook and in the test settings it is COMPLETING the INCOMING part of the test but failing on the outgoing(SMTP) part of the test

I know I have the info correct because I copied it exactly from my other PC to this laptop.....what am I missing?

oh and why the hel1 cant i move the reading pane to the bottom :wacko: god i h8 MS

Check again. For Comcast, it's:

 

smtp.comcast.net

Also, under the advanced tab, Outgoing mail STMP should be set to 25. There are other settings, but if memory serves the defaults should work.

Also check your firewall for exceptions.

the SMTP is correct(i took it directly from the settings in outlook on another PC....and its set at 25 too)....i will ck out the google link
