Shockey To Saints A Done Deal?

According to Pro Football Weekly, the Saints and Giants have a deal in place that would send TE Jeremy Shockey to New Orleans.

 

The report says the Saints would send "multiple picks", likely including a second-rounder, for Shockey. Shockey's value could vault back up to a TE1 if he can come back completely healthy from a broken leg.

Saints Enter Sheppard Sweepstakes?

It's being reported that the Saints are interested in Eagles DB Lito Sheppard.

 

If this is true, then the report that the Giants and Saints having a deal in place for TE Jeremy Shockey might not be as realistic as it seems. The Eagles are looking for nothing less than a second-round pick.

Redskins Turn Down Taylor

The Redskins reportedly turned down Dolphins DE Jason Taylor.

 

Wow. It seems like only yesterday that Redskins owner Dan Snyder would burn every pick he had for players. But if the new coaching regime wants any chance of surviving, the team needs to start looking for youth. Expect Miami to continue shopping Taylor on Saturday.

McFadden Still The Talk In Oakland

All signs are still pointing to the Raiders drafting Arkansas RB Darren McFadden with their No. 4 pick.

 

The Raiders have a stockpile of running backs on the roster, so expect one of them to be cut. There are rumors that RB LaMont Jordan could be the guy. After re-signing with the team this offseason, we aren't sure where RB Justin Fargas' role would be if McFadden got thrown into the mix as well.
