I installed it a couple weeks ago because my trial Norton expired, but my laptop has been running slower since then. Yea, the daily system scan will slow you down like crazy if you have it turned on. I don't know where to get to it once it's installed (I'd check, but I'm on a Mac). I would recommend reinstalling it, and during the setup make sure to unclick daily system scan.
