d-dub Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I am in a standard scoring keeper league. QB's receive 6 pts/TD. No PPR. TE act as WR's. I was offered Brees and James for Driver and the Burner Turner. My roster consists of: QB - Hasselback, Kitna, Cassel, Campbell RB - Westbrook, Turner, C. Johnson, T. Jones, Slanton WR - A. Johnson, Fitzgerald, Welker, Driver K - Folk DEF - NYG, Dallas Brees would be an instant upgrade at QB but with Colston out is he worth it? James would be the 3rd or 4th RB on the squad and may come in handy for bye weeks. However....with C. Johnson not getting goal line touches and James not getting goal line touches does that weaken me too much at RB? With Brees, I could drop 2-3 QBs and pick up depth at WR and RB. Is this a good deal? electricrelish Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Yes, do this trade. D. Brees is possibly a top 3 QB this year. Even without Colston he's hitting his targets. Do this trade. Michael Turner is on a horrible offense and he's not going to produce huge numbers - Good numbers but not huge. I don't think you drop off that much with C. Johnson. I think it's worth it to get D. Brees. Driver is not a big number producer and you have a good WR core without him. I say do this trade!!!! Brees will still be good without Colston and even better when he comes back in a few weeks. Turner is solid and will do better than others think but you have to give up something to get something.
