Administration firing experienced techs

I have several friends that work at a nearby hospital where I live. In the last 4 months one has been fired (worked there for over 17 years with an impecable work record and ethics). Other workers of 20 and over years with same records have also been fired. Various departments have now been trying to organize with the Union because working conditions have become so unbearable. The workers have established a time line of events concerning the administration and submitted to the Union. People are being harrassed and many people are scared to speak up for fear of being targeted and fired. Those who have been fired have filed greviences and have gotten lawyers and will be dealing with the matter through the courts. My question is this...I have a friend who is trying to survive in this working enviornment hoping either the Union comes on board, the mangement is eventually fired or the Administraiton gets what he wants in padding his resume and leaves...how can an outsider (myself) bring what is happening at this hospital to light (media, papers, etc) without causing additional harrassment to my friend.
