Ok so I want to "link" a cell to a jpeg on my PC and want the pic to display when someone opens that file on their own computer.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

So far the only thing I found that I can do is to put the picture in using the comments box...that works but isnt exactly how I would like to do it.

anyone?

I think you might have to host the pick on a site and then link it.. i dont think u can link directly to your PC

I might be wrong...but i dont think i am

You're not wrong. It needs to be hosted on a publicly accessible web site.

I may be mis-interpreting what you are trying to do. But you can insert a pic into an excel spreadsheet by doing : Insert>Picture>From File...

i want to be able to have people click on the info in the cell to see the pic....but i worked it out with the insert comments workaround
