Outshined
I have trend micro installed on my laptop. I am looking at buying a new security software. Which is the best? Norton Mcafee Webroot spysweep and anti virus good? Any others?
rocknrobn26
Those are fine (cept for Mcafee), but I have been using BitDefender for quite a while now and it works great. 3 PC's $29.95 for a year. I don't like those total packages, so I only use the Anti-virus version. It has anti-spyware & anti-phishing built into it.
smithkt
Webroot has gone down the crapper in recent versions. The Malwarebytes product being mentioned recently in a number of threads seems to be the new favorite for anti-spyware. I've been hearing very positive things about the latest Norton version. It's apparently been streamlined quite a bit and has a very high detection rate. I have not tested it myself to verify this, just passing along what I've heard.
