chinatown dragons
Had Torain penciled in, then last night kept seeing conflicting reports....Young is starting, no Torain is starting, back to Young, etc, etc. Benched him at last minute (yeah, he did get 12 pts in my league.....) So, leaves me with following options. 1 pt every 10 yards rushing/receiving; 6 pts for a TD Kevin Smith home vs Jags: still shares carries with Rudi, but more productive back; 4 tds, yet no 100 yard games. Jags can be run on Ryan Grant at Minny: Minny has tough Run d, but Grant seems to have some success against them. Big division game, only 1 td thus far the 'wildcard' option is to put in Donnie Avery, which is hit or miss.... thoughts? is this the game that Lions commit to the run and give the rock to Kevin Smith 15-20 times? Or is this a 'break out' game for Grant, who is getting the ball...a lot...but only has one td and one hundred yard game thanks!!
chinatown dragons
Any Kevin Smith owners starting him with confidence this week??
WashingtonD
I'd be shocked if anyone was starting Kevin Smith with confidence except for maybe if his mother has him on her fantasy football team. Now that said, its not a bad spot for him, Daunte Culpepper with one week to learn the offense is not going to be airing it out a lot, I just don't see it...that means a heavy dose of Smith/Johnson and Smith seems to have the nose for the endzone. I have a hard time sitting Grant this week, because he is really showing signs of life and his 20 runs for 86 yards against Tenn at Tenn was impressive work. Ultimately I'd go with Grant here, as you know he's going to get the 20-30 opportunities with the ball, where Kevin is a bit of a mystery how many touches he'll get. Best of Luck (and check out my new blog post, addy in sig!) WashD
Beach Bum
agree. grant is the better/safer play.
Steelhead
grant is defintely the safer play. Even against a tough MIN defense he should do better see mine http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=271112
