Bradley or Hixon?

  1. 1. Should I have WR Mark Bradley for a playoff run or select WR Domenik Hixon for long-term keeper value?

    • WR Mark Bradley, Kansas City Chiefs
      2
    • WR Domenik Hixon, NY Giants
      3

I'm in a 12-team keeper league; I'm in the playoffs which go until week 17. We can keep three players each year; no more than one per position. Each year a player is kept the cost to keep him goes up two rounds. No player can be kept more than three years in a row. I can also trade extra keepers to other teams (if they're willing) for draft picks.

Scoring: 6 pts for all TD's, 1 pt for every 10 rushing/receiving, PPR

It's the last week (1pm is the deadline) to make non-injury waiver moves. My WR corps is solid, but Colston has been inconsistent and Edwards has been even moreso with drops and switches in QB. Thus, I was looking for WR help. Bradley has the better schedule (and KC's passing game has been hot), but Hixon seems to be the better long-term prospect (especially with Plax's problems - gunshot, possible suspension, and facing a weapons charge that carries a mandatory 3.5 year prison term). What do you think? I appreciate any advice you send my way.

My roster with keeper status and cost::

Hixon, Domenik NYG WR (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Favre, Brett NYJ QB (Keep for a 5th round pick; can be kept three years)

Warner, Kurt ARI QB (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Addai, Joseph IND RB (Cannot be kept)

Benson, Cedric CIN RB (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Brown, Ronnie MIA RB (Keep for a 2nd round pick; can be kept three years)

Lynch, Marshawn BUF RB (Keep for a 1st round pick; can be kept two years)

Bradley, Mark KCC WR (Q) (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Colston, Marques NOS WR (Keep for an 11th round pick; can be kept one year)

Edwards, Braylon CLE WR (Keep for a 3rd round pick; can be kept two years)

Johnson, Andre HOU WR (Cannot be kept)

Royal, Eddie DEN WR (Q) (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Scheffler, Tony DEN TE (Keep for a 10th round pick; can be kept for three years)

Nedney, Joe SFO PK (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Packers, Green Bay GBP Def (Keep for a 13th round pick; can be kept two years)

Ravens, Baltimore BAL Def (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

Quinn, Brady CLE QB (IR) (Keep for a 15th round pick; can be kept three years)

The problem with Hixon is you don't know if Plax will be back. I gotta go Bradley right now assuming Hixon will be back on the bench since Plax is paid to be a starter.

I think Bradley has better long term value.. he appears to be a solid starter this year and beyond....
