Mystery shopper scam

Got a letter postmarked Canada yesteday which included a $3,300 check and instructions on how to become a mystery shopper.

All I had to do was cash the bogus check and wire transfer all but $200 of the money to an address in Canada to test the customer service of the Western Union branch. :D

They list their business address as a PO box in State College, PA but their area code is for Toronto.

I can also work on a full or part time bases. :D

:D

In tough times like these, you would be amazed at how many people would cash those things and actually just keep the money. That is, if its a bona-fide check.

see that's the scam.

people cash the check and wire the money before the check clears, which it doesn't. when it bounces the scam victim has to reimburse the money.
