Homey123
I understand retribution in sports. If the opposing pitcher beans your best hitter, you bet your ass that my pitcher is going after your pitcher (NL) or your best hitter too (AL). That settles the score. However, in hearing talking heads (Tony Kornheiser, Jim Rome, etc.) talk about the Bertuzzi incident, it seems like fighting and retribution in the NHL rises to a whole new level. Tony Kornheiser referred to "the code" and it seemed like much more than "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." Can a hockey enthusiast explain how hockey differs from other sports or is all this talk just because the hit looked so cheap.
Hugh 0ne
There's been a lot of discussion about the Bertuzzi incident here: http://members.thehuddle.com/ubb/ultimateb...ic;f=2;t=000630 You'll get several different opinions and some insight into the "code of ethics" in the NHL.
