geeteebee Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Wow. This move is either incredibly smart or incredibly paranoid. I wonder if they are going to extend the school year by 10 days. Parents have to hate this and I imagine that a lot of them will have to put their kids in some kind of day care that will only defeat the whole purpose of closing the schools. But there were several cases in this district and I guess they're not taking chances. And that has been the recommendation of the guberment. Texas also canceled all UIL (high school sports) events.
