tonorator
ok, since the shuffle music thread is going so well, how about sharing your playlist topics? i'm going through my music library to try and build some more interesting playlists to try and make some of my more obscure music more accessible. here are the playlists i have at the moment. A Little Country Alt Rock Bengals Jam (tunes they play at paul brown stadium) Chick Rock Chill Classic Blues Classic Rock Drinkin' Tunes (songs you want to hear while getting drunk) Favorites (huge playlist and often my default) Funk Guilty Pleasures HIgh School (tunes from the 70s and 80s that take me back to school) Inspirational Jammin' Kids (songs that make me think of my kids for one reason or another) Love Songs Metal Mash (any song that has that skull metal coughing type voice) New Ground (tunes that in one way or another seem to push a boundary or go a different way) New Music On The Edge (songs with a certain level of insanity that push boundaries) Power Blues Pure Pop Reach Deep (when i'm feeling low) Slow Blues Techno The Groove (songs with a really strong backbeat, from any genre) Underappreciated Workout

Ursa Majoris
Bengals Jam (tunes they play at paul brown stadium) I'm sure there's a whole bunch to go in this category. I'll start you off: The Loser - Chicken Shack
Azazello1313
I don't really use them. I just have an "on-the-go" playlist to sort out what's on my 8GB iphone. the only others I've really used was I made one playlist for all the mbira (zimbabwean thumb piano) music I have, and a kind of best-of-genre reggae playlist. loaf
an ongoing one is underproduced tracks. Songs from the 60s that are just raw...garage-y type. Early Kinks, Sonics that type of stuff.
skylive5
..... Sonics .... Really..... Who woulda thunk? The Wailers are right in that bunch too. In fact a Wailer was part of the Sonics. That's some harsh music. LOL
