ROCKINVADER
Well the mystery is finally over! Mangini will go for the hype of a young QB that has the distinction of NEVER having engineered a 4th qtr comeback in College. Irish fans have a difficult time with this until I ask them to name ONE game he won in college. Granted Andersen is a little streaky but that comes from running for his life most of the time. A few blindsides give any QB happy feet and wavering arms. I'm looking at the bright side in this. Quinn will be unspectacular, ordinary, with flashes of mediocrity ala Rex Grossman, will not generate any winning drives, will yeild to Andersen before the Browns play Pittsburgh therefore they will have a chance since he has actually WON games in the NFL. This will also silence all the people who are convinced Quinn is the one. I actually had someone defend Quinn to me this week due to his time in college quarterbacking the Miami Hurricanes! No swearing. How could this guy even have an opinion? This is the typical fan and a sorry state of affairs it is when coaches cater to the rantings of these people. Soon enough the proof will be in the pudding. And now you know which Browns QB to bench this week.....
Mr Hammock
I disagree. Quinn is and should be the future of the Browns. If they don't think so then they should trade him and stop doing him like Al Davis did Marcus Allen. It's uncalled for. You either believe in him or you don't and saving a starting QB announcement for Sunday is not a good way to hand the ball to someone and say we believe in him. The advantage, if any, you would gain from that is lost in the perception of the teams chemistry. The Browns are Bass Ackwards, which is why they will suck this year. The Browns are on the clock.
