diabloargentino
Good morning everyone. I'm thinking of trading for Portis in my 12 man 0.5 PPR League. What is everyone's overall opinion on him? I already have a core RB duo for Gore/Barber, and Julius Jones at flex. I also have Carlson though, so I want to get rid of Jones while I can sell high. I'm thinking of a package deal including Julius, Sproles, and another Bench for Portis. Is he worth trading for? I heard he isn't even the 3rd Down back anymore, but IDK if it's a rumor. Last year he was pretty valuable, until he went downhill the second half. Is he going to continue falling off, or can he still get me points? Thanks in advance guys, and I'll be glad to help you with your own dilemmas! Dave Edited September 17, 2009 by diabloargentino
Judge Smales
If you can get Portis for 2 or 3 of your bench players then I would do it as I think he will still be a top 15 back this year since he is getting all of the heavy lifting yet for WAS. He is not the 3rd down back there anymore and he only got about half the snaps this last week, but he will still get his carries. I wouldn't be so quick to move JJ and Sproles though. You may get something more for Sproles from the LT owner (unless he is also the Portis owner) like an upgrade at WR. I think JJ will be top 25-30 this year so it seems like reasonable offer IMO. jeff5769
I personally would never trade for Portis. His thrid down carries were taking away and today i read an article that said when he woke up Monday he felt like he had carried the ball 30 times, even though he only had 16 carries. Sounds like hes wearing down even quicker than most thought. If you make a trade, don't do it for Portis
