fantasyfemme
I was a dumb-ass when I drafted and didn't pay attention to bye weeks - as a result, like 80% of my team is on bye Week 4! Our league plays three WR - I currently have Fitz, Roddy White and Evans starting (with Fitz and White on bye week 4). Walter is my reserve (and I'm seriously hoping he will be healthy enough to play week 4). Manningham is available on the wire so I'm going to try and pick him up. My current reserves: - McNabb - Pennington (to plug in for Ryan who is on bye week 4) - McCoy - Donald Brown - Walter (who, obviously, I can't drop because of week 4) Any advice? vikinglion
I think you can drop Pennington for a week and pick up another quarterback in week 4. Miami plays Buffalo in week 4, which doesn't mean too much. You will know better than we do if there are other backup quarterbacks available, but if there are, then drop Chad. fantasyfemme
Thanks. Manningham was scooped so I ended up dropping Pennington for Knox. Next year I will be paying closer attention to bye weeks during the draft!

Next year I will be paying closer attention to bye weeks during the draft! I don't look at bye weeks like it's going to kill you. If your team is good enough, you should be able to overcome the bye issue. Look at it like this: after the big bye week, you're home free, barring injuries. I hardly ever pay attention to bye weeks unless it's for BU QB or something. It always works itself out.
