Thoughts on Berrian and Gates

12 team league start 3WR and 1TE Std Scoring, no PPR

 

I currently have Andre Johnson, H Ward, Berrian,S Smith (NYG), S Rice, B Johnson at WR and Gates at TE

 

A couple of teams I am targeting have Driver and S Smith (CAR) that I may be able to get. I am content with my QB and RB's for now so am looking to upgrade at WR if I can and then after some Bye Weeks try to upgrade at RB.

 

Two trades I am looking at; Berrian and C Brown (to the Slaton owner) for Driver.

A few questions, is Driver an upgrade over S Smith (NYG) and worth giving up on Berrian for? Not sure if Berrian just needs another week or two to get healthy and work with Favre or not.

 

The other deal (not sure if the other owner would bite) would be to try to move Gates and Berrian for the other S Smith in CAR and Shiancoe or Scheffler. I can pickup Celek off the WW so I would then juggle TE's instead of having Gates. He has started slow this year and is outside of the top 12 in our league YTD. I think this trade is a dream on my part, curious what others think if this would help. Maybe I am just frustrated with Berrian and Gates so far.

Which lineup would you rather start each week

AJ / SSmith (NYG) / H Ward - Gates with Berrian as your 4th

AJ / SSmith (CAR) / H Ward - Celek with SSmith (NYG) as your 4th.

 

Either one these actually help my team?

If you can get the first trade then do it but I doubt the owner would ever agree to the second trade (but if he is willing then you got to do it)
