Airlines will be fined if tarmac waits exceed 3 hours

Took awhile but finally some sort of regulation on this.

Last year when our family went to Hawaii we were on the tarmac for about 4 hours. It was BS. I'm pretty sure airlines do this so they only have to classify it as a taxi delay instead of a flight delay.

Fantastic idea, but still too way long IMO - three freaking hours?? If you can't get that $%@ thing off the ground within 1, we should be allowed to get off while you get your act together.

 

Agree it's still too long, but i think at least now, you know there's an end in sight and won't be spending the night on an airplane, which happened very recently.
