electricrelish
Goal Line Stand is a 12-team PPR-IDP keeper league is in the second year of its existence. I won the league championship in its inaugural year. We have a maximum of 22 roster spots. I have 24 players due to players being on IR. We are only permitted to keep 8 players. We start 11 players. QBs: 1 RBs: 1-3 WRs: 2-4 TEs: 1-3 PKs: 1 DTs: 0-2 DEs: 0-2 LBs: 0-2 CB+Ss: 0-2 Defs: 1 Scoring Highlights Offensive Scoring Pts per reception are 1 pt each regardless of position TD's are 4 pts each for passing, 6pts for all other positions. Bonus pts for long passing TD's (40-59 yds = 1pt, 60-79 yds = 2pts, 8-101= 3pts Bonus pts for long rushing and receiving TDs (20-39 yds = 1 pt, 40-59 = 2pts, 60-79 yds = 3 pts, 80-100 yds = 4 pts) Long Receptions of 40+ Yards = 1 pt Punt Return Yards = .05 pts for every 1 yd. Long Punt Returns of 40+ Yards = 1 pt Kickoff Return Yards = .05 pts for every 1 yd. Field Goals Made 0-39 = 3pts, 40-49 yds = 4 pts, 50-99= 5 pts IDP Scoring Tackles = 1pt Sacks = 2pts Safties=3 pts Defensive Scoring Total Points Allowed 0 = 15pts, 1-6 = 12 pts, 7-14 = 9pts, 15-24 = 6pts, 25-99 = 2pts Sack QB = 2 pts Safeties = 3pts Blocked Punts – 3 pts Interceptions – 2 pts Fumble = 2pts Defensive/Special teams TDs = 6 pts We only play 2 IDP players, which can be any positions you choose. Typically, I play two linebackers. We are only permitted to keep 8 players. I have bolded six players that I am thinking of keeping. I am having debates with myself on whether I should keep Santana Moss (a WR1 with a better QB), Pierre Garcon (Perhaps, Reggie Wayne will sit out), Michael Bush (Has his time come?) the NY Jets (Perhaps the #1 defense this year – they finished 5th last year in this league's scoring). Which 8 players below should I keep for the 2010 season? Thanks for your cooperation in advance. 1. McNabb, Donovan WAS QB 2. Leinart, Matt ARI QB 3. Young, Vince TEN QB 4. Johnson, Chris TEN RB 5. tazinib1
Chaz Schilens and Curtis Lofton would round out my 8.
electricrelish
Chaz Schilens and Curtis Lofton would round out my 8. Thanks for your response. This league isn't very IDP heavy. The IDP positions really don't score heavily, plus one can always find a good linebacker it seems. I'm reluctant to select an IDP player. Chaz Schilens is an interesting choice. A bit of a risk move, but he is a WR1 in his third year.

If you choose to throw him back into the pool and go week to week, I wouldn't blame ya. I'd consider a TE with #8 then...Winslow being my choice. tazinib1
Of course you could always select the #1 ranked TM D too? But in a 12 team league, I'm sure you can find a decent enough replacement.
Capt. Stanky
Looking at the LB's you already have on your roster it shouldn't be a problem drafting one of those top 10 guys back this year, so I wouldn't keep any IDP's. I'm also not big on keeping TE's, unless they are top 4 or 5. If I were you I would keep Garcon and Michael Bush. Bush has more upside than any other possible keepers. I think he will be the main back in Oak this year. Garcon showed allot of promise last year and has one of the best QB's in NFL history throwing him the ball. Just my two cents.
