Draft Position.

Recommended Posts

I typically like to be in the middle of the draft. You're never too far away from a pick, so you don't have to worry as much on runs for a particular position. This year I'd probably want # 4 though. After the top 4 RB's I'm not sure who should go next. The safe pick is probably AJ, while the upside (Non-PPR) is probably Turner.

+1. This year in particular I would love to have at least the 4th or 5th pick and be able to pick of one of those stud feature backs, but I generally find that I tend to build the most solid overall team by picking in the middle, rather than the corners of the round...

When I pick around the corners I tend to feel as if I need to make the most of every pick, since it will be almost 2 rounds until I pick again; whereas when I'm in the middle, I always feel comfortable taking who I want, knowing that it won't be too long until I get a chance at another guy.

But as for having success, that of course is entirely dependent on how well your picks pan-out, but in a year such as this one, I would definitely take position 4 or 5 if I had a choice. The late-firsts absolutely scare me, and might even force me to go WR first, something I almost never do..
