ppr league - welker or hightower in rb/wr slot?

Hightower probably has a higher floor, but Welker could have the higher ceiling. In other words, Hightower is the safer play but Welker is more of a "swing for the fences" play. Take a look at the rest of your starting lineup, and if it's pretty strong, you can probably afford to take the chance on Welker. If not, the safer play in Hightower probably makes more sense.

PPR league? you have to go with Welker...he gets 8-9 catches a game..plus yards. Brady loves him.

You are assuming Welker is on the field for most of the offensive snaps which is a dangerous assumption. We haven't seen a whole lot of Welker yet. Sure, he's been able to make some plays in limited preseason action. But can he really play a whole game at full throttle on that knee? There's definitely some risk with Welker.

My thinking exactly. My other wr's are R Moss and J Knox. Leaning toward Hightower over Welker for the flex .....
