MTSuper7 Posted September 12, 2010 Share Posted September 12, 2010 Hightower probably has a higher floor, but Welker could have the higher ceiling. In other words, Hightower is the safer play but Welker is more of a "swing for the fences" play. Take a look at the rest of your starting lineup, and if it's pretty strong, you can probably afford to take the chance on Welker. If not, the safer play in Hightower probably makes more sense. Â You are assuming Welker is on the field for most of the offensive snaps which is a dangerous assumption. We haven't seen a whole lot of Welker yet. Sure, he's been able to make some plays in limited preseason action. But can he really play a whole game at full throttle on that knee? There's definitely some risk with Welker.
