Trade Advice

Been offered the following trade:

I get Steven Jackson, Mike Williams (seattle), Owen Daniels and Aaron Hernandez (TE, NE)

I give LeSean McCoy, Pierre Garcon, Tony Gonzalez and Tony Scheffler.

 

12-team league, 1 point for 10 yards. Thank you in advance for any thoughts you may have.

Jackson < McCoy (but reinjury concerns scare me)

M. Williams > Garcon (not by much though. I think Garcon is over rated)

Gonzalez < Daniels (just because the WR core in Atl isn't deep so there only other good option is Gonzo, IMHO)

Scheffler = Hernadez (Hernadez is in a throwing offense and he is a great rookie TE but Scheffler is in a good situation right now)

Just one person has an opinion on this deal? I have to give an answer today, so any other opinons would be welcome.

M. Williams << Garcon one off week and his value dropped a lot, but this guy is the #2 at indy where as williams is the #2 at seattle i would be comfortable starting garcon every week, m williams is a WR4 at best

Gonzalez > Daniels both can put up big numbers, but daniels is recovering from knee sugery.

Scheffler = Hernadez (Hernadez is one of 3 TEs that NE uses, scheifer is the only TE starter on a bad team) honestly this shouldnt factor in on your decision to make the trade or not.

 

i would take it if garcon is your WR3 and you have good WR depth.

My other WR are: DeSean Jackson, Terrell Owens and Julian Edelman. So Garcon is really my No. 2. We can only carry 4 WR, so not alot of depth. Williams could be a nice sleeper, but it's a bit too soon to say if he was a one-week fluke.

 

My other RBs: MJD, L.T. and Reggie Bush (we can only have 4)

Just to confirm - you start 2 WR, 2 RB, and a flex, right?

 

angelitto's analysis is spot-on - pretty much how I see it. Personally, I'd do the deal because I think that much of SJax.

I think you are giving too much. McCoy will score more td's that Jackson and will catch more passes. You will be downgrading at TE. Daniels will not be fully functional until much later in the season.
