All are dubious this week, so I need to pick someone up to start, and I'd prefer it to be someone who has some upside for the rest of the year. Currently on the waiver wire are Thomas Jones, Marshawn Lynch, BJGE, Ricky Williams and Laurence Maroney. My league is non-PPR. Who should I pick up and why? Thanks in advance. RattlerB Posted September 28, 2010 Share Posted September 28, 2010 BJGE... should get enough early carries against Buffalo and then garbage carries once the Pats have had their way with the Bills. But, like Pistolkid said, that's short-term. Lynch may be a better long-term deal, but Spiller may crack that lineup sooner than later. If you can, try to grab Jones and stash him. You can probably dump Harrison since Hillis has been all world and Mangini seems to hate Harrison anyway (I feel your pain on that one as I drafted Harrison in two of my three leagues). BJGE, good game this past weekend, high upside if he gets the opportunity 2. r. williams - best of the rest even if he is splitting carries. look at his stats from last year and it might make you feel better about picking him up 3. maroney - he's basically moreno's handcuff and will get more looks than buckhalter or lance ball(who?) 4. lynch - hes getting showcased in buffalo.
