I would Receive: Ryan Mathews Vincent Jackson I would give away: Jahvid Best I'm leaning towards declining this trade, as we have seen how much Detroit relies on Best. Mathews is nicked up, and hasn't really shown much in his first few games, and who knows what is going on with Vincent Jackson. What do you guys think? Thanks! chinatown dragons Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 ultimately, if V Jackson chooses to sit out the entire seaon (which i believe he is leaning towards...!), it would be a Matthews for Best trade... yes, Matthews is nicked up, but i think he is healthier now than Best is.... It does not look like it was a high ankle sprain, he is off the injury report, and Best has a turf toe problem..... and remember, Best has a pretty decent size list of past injuries from his college days... A turf toe for a RB that succeeds based on his speed and cutting ability could linger and hamper him the rest of the year... Chargers are a better team than the Lions......Best had 2 incredible games to start the season, but after all is said and done, I think Matthews has a stronger rest of the year... I'd do the trade...
