jbran23
Ryan Torain vs Indy or Jahvid Best vs the Giants? Torain definitely has the better matchup but as far as the ability to break one big play Best is always a threat. Make up my mind for me. Domsta
I like Torain, if Giants see Calvin is out they will stack up for run def.
Company of Heroes
I like Torain, if Giants see Calvin is out they will stack up for run def. Ugh, even though Best is more talented and should get more touches, the matchups should make Torain the better play. I don't see either being far and away better than the other though. Torain is probably the safest choice, Best has the higher ceiling. CoH
whitehype
yeah i like Torain vs. Indy better!!! the Giants have been playing stellar D lately
Rufus919
I have this exact same dilemma. I ended up going with Torain based solely on the match-up. Indy's run defense is NOT good. Where the NYG have been pretty tough to run against.
Sirgalt
Don't forget that most of the stats against Indy's run D came at the hands of Arian Foster's single performance. Otherwise their YPC averages have been stout and aside from the Houston game, their run D has been OK. Keep that in mind when considering Torain. Crazysight
Also keep in mind that Torain did nothing against Green Bay's run defense, which statistically seems to be about as bad as Indys. Also remember that we are talking about a Mike Shanahan runningback situation here. Edited October 15, 2010 by Crazysight
Crazysight
I'm leaning towards benching Torain for VD and Mike Wallace until Torain shows me enough to convince me that he's good enough and won't be given the Shanahan treatment. dogrodeo
I would go with Best. Torain is still unproven and Best has shown that he can rack up some points.
