i_am_the_swammi Posted March 14, 2011 Share Posted March 14, 2011 As is the case with most, I am in several different bracket pools, each with various scoring methods. the one that seems to reward participants for the most skill in picking games is when you get the points for the round PLUS the seed of the team multiplied by the round. That is, if you pick a 13th seed to upset a #4 in the first round, you get 14 points (13 + 1). If you pick that same 13th seed to win in the 2nd round, you get 28 points (13 x 2 = 26 + 2 points)....and so on. It doesn't seem to make any sense to reward someone the same amount of points for picking a #1 seed in the first round as the guys picking a hugh upset. The pools that give 32 points for the championship...basically, you can butcher the first two rounds, but if you pick the champ, you have a solid chance of winning. anyway....
