muck Posted May 20, 2011 Share Posted May 20, 2011 -- it's about three generations of women widowed by war -- Korea, Vietnam and Iraq I -- and the disillusion that often comes with this sort of loss. With Memorial Day coming up, I thought this was pretty appropriate. God Bless America and those who've fought and those who continue to fight for the freedoms we enjoy each and every day. God Bless the families who's loss is not just in terms of life, but in terms of their hopes and dreams and relationships, too. The multi-generational loss sung about in this song is so very real for so many who have sacrificed for this country, yet remain unknown.
