tosberg34
Score another one for the taxpayers of WI. The court ruled that Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi's ruling, which had held up implementation of the collective bargaining law, was void ab initio, or invalid from the outset. The court concluded that Sumi exceeded her jurisdiction, "invaded" the Legislature's constitutional powers and erred in halting the publication and implementation of the collective bargaining law. This really was no surprise, though. This ruling along with the full budget being voted on this week will actually see WI have a surplus of 300 million dollars in 2 years. Republicans will have erased a 3.6 billion dollar hole in one budget WITHOUT RAISING TAXES! Amazing that people actually protested against this. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau also found that the budget bill would cut taxes by a net amount of $23.6 million over the next two years Yeah, I know, most of you probably don't care about this or WI but this has been brewing since earlier this year when there were huge protests going on over this and the Fleebaggin' 14 made headlines.
