I was sitting on Matt Stafford, Colt McCoy (who was having an unbelievable preseason), and Mark Sanchez. I only really needed two and a great offer came my way for McCoy, so I moved him. Stafford and Sanchez is a great pairing, in my opinion, considering I'm the kind of fantasy owner to focus on QB much later in the draft than most people, and this is an 18 team IDP league. As reports of Manning's neck issue started to worry some people that he'd miss a week or two, though, I saw an opportunity to go after him because the guy that had Manning only had Manning - no backup. He was worried about the neck injury, because if any games were missed, he was without a QB. I traded Sanchez and Vernon Davis for Peyton Manning, so I was pretty happy with Stafford and Manning. A couple days later the news becomes more grim and now it's said that Manning will miss at least two months, and possibly the entire season. Well... crap. So, this week in waivers, someone dropped Collins so he could pick up Randall Cobb. Now Collins is sitting in waivers, and is one of only three QBs in waivers right now that had any points at all this last week - the other two being AJ Feeley, and Josh Johnson. Slim pickins. So, I put in a waiver claim on Kerry Collins. Yeah, I'm probably the ONLY person in the ENTIRE world that put a claim on KERRY COLLINS. He has to be able to improve, right?
