The Days Inn Chicago on Diversey near Clark is ideal. Near north, but still close to a lot of stuff. We are staying there for my daughter's wedding and it is really a nice hotel. Very clean, smallish but nice rooms w/ a coffee maker, microwave, fridge and free wifi. Valet Parking is only $22 compared to $50+ downtown, nice attendants, and only 1 mile from Wrigley (I measured it). Free continental BF (will try that tomorrow).
