2023 Contract Thread - Late

Late Contracts:

8.3.1: If a team does not submit any roster or contacts by the deadline or if the submission exceeds the 40 player cap limit, the team will be fined as listed in rule 5.1.2.

5.1.2: A team may exceed the maximum number of players after a draft, but must cut the roster down to 20 players the Sunday (Tim's message stated Monday 4th @ 11:59 PM) before the beginning of the season. If a team does not submit any roster or contacts by the deadline, the team will be fined 10 credits immediately and 5 credits per day until the roster and contracts are submitted. If a team submits a roster and contracts by the deadline, but the roster exceeds the aforementioned 20 player limit or the contracts exceed 40 years (see rule 8.3), then the team will be notified and fined 5 credits immediately and 5 credits per day until their roster and/or contracts are fixed.

side note - looks like we have a discrepancy in the rules - 8.3 references Monday, 5.1.2 references Sunday.

8.3 The deadline for announcing the length of new player contracts will be the Monday before the beginning of the season.

Let's change that for next season.

I already paid in, give my team to someone else. I should've been better prepared but I was sick all weekend and didn't get these in on time. I'm not dealing with another season of negative credits just to try and rebuild 3 years down the road for $40 a season.
