2023 - Road to the Playoffs

With one week left in the regular season, I thought it would be good to set the stage for the upcoming playoffs in weeks 15-17.  It looks to be a fairly close race in several conferences for the division champs, however, we do know the 6 teams that will be in the playoffs already.  There are two teams in each division that will be in the playoffs regardless of the outcomes of each of their games as each of the top two teams in each conference .  However, the games will determine the seeding and byes in week 15.

In the East we have a close race between Icarus and Stanley Morgan.  Currently, Stanley Morgan is tied with Icarus.  Stanley Morgan has the tiebreaker, as Stanley won both regular season meetings between the two of them.  Icarus needs a win and a Stanley Morgan loss to clinch the Eastern Division.  Otherwise, it is looking like Stanley will be the East Division champ.

In the Central Division, Siel Team 69 has locked up the division even with a loss this weekend.  Siel is our Central Division champ.  JD locks up a wildcard spot.

The West has Bofa tied with Necessary Roughness, but holding a 1-0-1 tiebreaker over Roughness.  With a Bofa loss and a Roughness, win, Roughness has a chance to still win the division.  However, the division is Bofa's to lose similar to Stanley in the East.

SIel has the lead for regular season points champ.

And after our last regular season game, congratulations are in order.  Congrats to Bofa, Siel, and Icarus for winning their respective divisions!  Siel has become the regular season points champ with 1501 points scored - averaging 107.2 points a game.  The playoffs are now set.

On the flip side of things, congrats to Burrowito Supreme to having 1493 points scored against you!  If that isn't a fantastic welcome into the league, I don't know what is.  Cheers to next year's first pick in the draft.
